I converted my Power Steering equipped 84 Firebird to manual steering by using a manual steering box from a Chevy S10 pick-up. It was a simple bolt in replacement. And of course you have to use a shorter accessory drive belt after removing the pump. Steering effort when car is moving is not bad at all. Parking is another story, especially with 245/50 tires!
yes they are of the same generation of camaro so it should be interchangeable
"mamule" steering..?
Yes
yes
You can convert manual to power steering on a 1969 Camaro. the steering box will need to be changed, and a pump and brackets as well as fluid lines will need to be added.

should be the same thing.
It probably will as they probably used the same steering column. Most 4th generation F platforms (93-2002 Camaro/Firebird) have interchangeable parts. So, yes you can replace the steering column for a 1999 Camaro with a earlier 4th gen F body.
