Blower Resistor block for the heater/ac motor on my 1996 TROOPER, is located on the heater/ac unit in the cab, passenger side. Remove the glove box,(2 screws on the bottom hinges, then open the box and it will lift out) You will see an opening on the left side with a wire harness of 5 wires. Unplug the harness, and remove the 2 Phillips screws and the resistor block can now be removed! About 10 minites total labor to do it youeslf. Beats being charged a couple hundred bucks to the dealer for parts and labor. Part is about $55.00 retailer from the dealership, check online and you should be able to order it from a discount parts supplier. From what I've found online, when the heater/ac blower quits, it is usually the restistor block about 90% of the time. Regards, Gary
The resistor block or blower motor resistor is used to control the speed of the blower motor. That is how you get the lower speeds on your air conditioning or heater. The higher the resistance the lower the speed of the motor.
there is a resistor that controls the speed and should be near the blower motor its called blower motor resistor
Pull out the lock on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector to unlock the connector latch . Depress the latch on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector and disconnect the connector from the resistor. Remove the two screws that secure the blower motor resistor block to the HVAC housing. Remove the resistor block from the HVAC housing............
To test the blower motor resistor, unplug the resistor connector. Each blower motor switch input terminal on the resistor must have continuity to the resistor output terminal, which is connected to the circuit going to the blower motor. If the blower motor resistor continuity does not check OK, replace the faulty resistor. You need a multimeter to test the resistor block and there should be continuity between all terminals.
The blower motor resistor for a 2001 Isuzu Trooper is typically located under the dashboard on the passenger side. You'll need to remove the lower dash panel to access it. The resistor is usually mounted near the blower motor itself, attached to the HVAC housing. Make sure to disconnect the battery before attempting any repairs for safety.
The blower motor resistor on a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo is typically located under the dashboard on the passenger side. You may need to remove the glove compartment for better access. The resistor is usually mounted to the HVAC unit, near the blower motor, and is secured by screws or clips. Make sure to disconnect the battery before attempting to replace it for safety.
this resistor is located next to the blower motor in the heater plenum. the coils sit in the air stream. remove the connector and the fasteners and pull the resistor block out.
A malfunctioning blower motor resistor will cause the blower motor not to work. When the resistor is bad the blower motors will not turn on.
The blower motor is located in the same area as the resistor, it's held in with 3 screws. Removing them will allow the motor and wheel to drop down.
The a/c heater blower motor resister is located in the vehicle on the passengers side inside the housing next to the blower motor...............Remove the blower motor resistor wire harness connector.Remove the blower motor resistor screws.Remove the blower motor resistor.
Sounds like a bad blower motor resistor block.
It's in the resistor block, which in the diagrams comes right after the fan control switch
