Bad switch, somewhere, OR... a dorr is ajar. The Trunk Switch has a real problem with the Focus in that it is does not fully close due to dirt or corrosion. Suggest Synthetic grease with a brush all over the sliding parts. You will see 2 wires Black and Red leading to the Latch of the Trunk and these are the wires that the Alarm and Warning Light sense from.
