The BA falcon has a Power Steering speed sensor switch in the high pressure line next to the power steering pump (Where you top up the fluid)
Older switches are grey in colour and newer ones are green, the older one gives lighter steering at low speeds and the newer one gives heavier steering at low speeds, I prefer the lighter feel at parking speeds so I bought that one, both fit, it is a simple 10 min DIY job and cost about $20.00 from Repco, don't buy one from Ford it will costs probably 10 times that
To remove a pressure switch in the power steering Au Falcon the proper tools must be obtained to take the piece apart. The proper instructions must also be obtained.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a steering wheel position sensor. There's no such thing. There is a sensor for the pressure to bump up the idle if the vehicle is sitting still and you turn the wheel. There's also the turn signal cam and canceling switch.
It's the only hose from the power streering pump, with the electrical connection to it. The hose has a Tee built into it , with the sensor switch and wiring attatched.
On a 2002 Alero with a 3.4L engine, the pass-lock sensor is located in the ignition lock cylinder. It is typically housed within the steering column assembly, near the ignition switch. To access the sensor, you may need to remove the steering column covers and, if necessary, the ignition switch itself. Ensure your vehicle's battery is disconnected before attempting to work on this area for safety.
