the large hoses feed your heater core to warm your car
The separation between the engine compartment, and you, is called the firewall. The Steering shaft, from your steering wheel runs through the firewall, the heater hoses run through the firewall, the power brake vacuum unit is connected to the firewall, your ignition wires etc run through the firewall.
the heater core hoses run into the car through the firewall behind the engine
If you look in the engine compartment , at the firewall , you will see where the ( 2 ) heater hoses run up to the firewall and connect to the heater core which is INSIDE the vehicle ( on the right side / passenger side )
find the two hoses that run from the engine block to the firewall, they should be about the thickness of a garden hose. Disconnect both of them from the firewall and connect them together. No water will ruin in to the heater core=no heat or leakage.
To disconnect the hoses from the firewall of a 1993 Volvo 850, first ensure the engine is cool and the battery is disconnected for safety. Locate the hoses connected to the firewall, typically for the heater core or coolant lines. Use pliers to gently squeeze any clamps holding the hoses, then carefully pull the hoses off the fittings on the firewall. Be prepared for some coolant spillage and have a container ready to catch any fluid that may leak out.
The two hoses that typically come out of the firewall in a vehicle are the heater core hoses. One hose carries hot coolant from the engine to the heater core, while the other returns the cooled coolant back to the engine. These hoses are essential for transferring heat to the cabin for heating purposes and are crucial for the vehicle's climate control system. Proper maintenance of these hoses is important to prevent leaks and ensure effective heating.
Your question makes no sense. Do you mean two hoses from the radiator to the engine? Two hoses from the firewall (thru which the two hoses access the heater) to the engine? What do you want to know, exactly. In either case that I mention, the two hoses are used for water/antifreeze mixture to circulate to the relevant parts.
I assume you are referring to between the engine and the firewall. There are 2 heater hoses in that location.
The heater control valve on a 1989 Buick Electra Park Avenue with a 3.8 engine is typically located near the firewall on the passenger side of the engine bay. It is connected to the heater hoses that run from the engine to the heater core. The valve itself may be mounted on the engine or on the firewall and is usually accessible from the top of the engine compartment.
Check if heater hoses were removed they run from the front of the engine to the firewall on the passenger side. Hope it helps
It is located at the back of the firewall behind the motor and it run under the distributor into the block. You actually have two hoses back there but it's the one running to the engine block.
This fluid can leak from many places. Look in places where water hoses meet the engine, where the heater hoses go into the firewall, the radiator and your heater core.
