Mercury Grand Marquis for one and I am sure there are others that I am not familiar with
Nope, so long as you have tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, and reverse lights. Don't forget mud flaps behind your rear wheels. And you MAY have to have a bumper or "ICC bar" to protect from a rear end accident. ( it keeps a vehicle in a rear end accident from driving under your truck)
Check the lighter fuse.
It turns the back up LIGHTS on, on the rear of the truck.
There should be a front dome light and a rear domelight. on the rear domelight push it in aka click it while the tailgate is open and it will turn both dome lights off.
under dashboard
Check the brake light switch.
In a Cadillac STS, the fuse that controls the dome and interior lights is typically found in the fuse box located under the rear seat or in the engine compartment. The specific fuse number can vary by model year, but it is often labeled as "Dome" or "Interior Lights." Always consult the owner's manual for the exact location and fuse specifications for your particular model year.
I had the same problem on a gmc truck. The problem was an in line fusable link
3rd brake light or rear brake lights?
The air conditioning hoses have a swivel nut on each end of the hose. Loosen the swivel nuts and the hose will come off.
I have a 1999 B3000 that had an after market tow harness added so the truck would have rear lights only when towed. There was a toggle switch installed under the dash near the gas pedal that I would hit with my foot and turn off all the rear lights. Head lights still worked fine.
There are not FOG Lights at Rear.
