change your tranny pan trans filter its easy just ake sure totorc your bolts could be drive line or rear end too
It could be that the transmission fluid is low, or it could be that mechanical parts have worn down. If so, it may be time for a replacement.
Cracked radiator end caps since the tranny fluid runs goes threw the caps for cooling that is the only way tranny fluid can get in the radiator
Check your transmission fluid. This happened to me in my 1992 Chevy Silverado & it turns out I had a tranny fluid leak.
maybe low on fluid or strainer stoped up
the tranny is probably going out, but try a fluid and screen change. keep in mind if the tranny is going out, i have seen a fluid and screen change stop them from shifting altogether
Yes, that can be one of the possible causes, however if your spedometer is working properly than I would be looking elsewhere, possibly a dirty or plugged tranny filter or burnt fluid.
the fluid in the transmission is cold when you start it up and as the truck is used, it heads up and thins out. Your problem is with the rubber rings and gaskets inside the tranny. As the fluid thins out the seals are starting to fail and that causes the shifting component to move during the gear change. It happened to my 1996, the tranny needs to be pulled and overhauled or maybe rebuilt. good luck
lack of tranny oil would probably be the culprit. if not tranny fluid then you are probably in need of a transmission overhaul.
Most often, low transmission fluid.
Absence of a lubricant or so called transmission fluid.
Oil or tranny fluid? Oil- engine rear main seal. Tranny- Input shaft seal
try changing filter and tranny fluid!!on 3.1 it takes 7 quarts to fill up after filter change.
