PO420 code indicates Cat converter problem. Could be restricted by carbon or melted or have a fractured brick. Run it by your favorite undercar/exhaust shop and have it checked, many shops will diagnose and estimate for free. If there is a bad cat that's not been impacted and fractured, you must have whatever caused the problem repaired before replacing the cat or you will damage the new one and be doing it again... warranty won't cover it and they're not cheap. Good Luck
Do didn't say which engine you have. The trouble code PO420 is telling you there is a catalystic converter not doing it's job. We need to know which engine and what year you have in order to determine which cat is at fault.
Trouble code P0420 means:Catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 1)
what does the code PO222 on a dodge 5.9 mean
Engine code P0507 mean High idle speed. Check out the the idle speed control motor(ISC). LOCATED near the throttle body.
Catalyst efficiency below threshold. (The catalytic converter may be failing.)
EGR Sensor voltage out-of-range , according to my Haynes repair manual
It means the engine didn't warm up to the correct operating temperature. Thermostat is probably stuck open. Replace the thermostat.
According to Haynes Repair Manual, code 32 means "EGR system" and will activate the Check Engine only on California models.
You need to obtain a troubleshooting chart for that code. If I recall, it has to do with the Evaporative system.
Octane adjust service pin open ( according to my Haynes repair manual )
The codes you mentioned are OBD-II trouble codes that indicate specific issues in a vehicle's engine and emissions system. P0171 and P0174 indicate a lean condition, meaning the engine is receiving too much air or not enough fuel. P0401 signals an issue with the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, specifically insufficient flow. P0420 points to a problem with the catalytic converter's efficiency. Each code suggests a different area of concern that may need diagnostic testing and repair.
The engine code "1 1 3" on a 1989 Volvo 240 typically refers to the engine's configuration and specifications. In this context, "1" indicates a single overhead camshaft (SOHC), while "3" signifies the engine's cylinder configuration, which in this case is a 4-cylinder engine. This code helps identify the engine type and its components for maintenance and repair purposes.
