On your 1999 Olds Alero the Trac Off light warning light stays on why how to fix?

check to make sure your switch by you shifter marked ETS is not pressed as that will turn off your traction control and put your light on. It may be your front wheel bearings. Yes it defiinitly is the bearings it happened to me

How do I get the ETS light to turn off on a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire?

ETS is connected to your ABS. ETS is a traction control and is linked to your ABS so to get your ETS light off you'll probably have to fix your ABS to get the light off. On mine, fixing a broken wire on my ABS plug which runs into the hub fixed my problem.

Should the ETS System on a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire be on or off?

If your ETS light is on you may want to take a look a your brakes. If your brakes are making a noise, then the sensor has tripped your ETS sensor. Your ETS light is just like the ABS in most vehicles, it means there is a brake problem. Usually it means it is time to change them. The ETS should be off unless there is an electrical problem in the switch (located on the autmatic shifter on some models), or some other electrical problem somewhere else that is causing it to read as off by the computer.

What is the problem if the ETS Off light in your 1999 Chevy Cavalier keeps coming on?

might be throtle postioning sensor

Is there any way to permanently disable the ETS on a 1999 Alero rather than turn it off every time you start the car?

yes there is, mine is off now since I put a new wheel bearing in (one of those cheap after market ones) and about 3 months after the abs light is on. Which i think the crap sencer in the bearing died out in turn turns the ETS off. you can do this also by going in back of any tire and unhooking the sencer BUT you will loose your ABS and have normal breaks which can be a pain in the snow!!!!!
