Ok i gotta say it LOW OIL PRESSURE :) Just messin with you :) it could be multiple things your low on oil, you got a serious leak, or the enigne is history, I think low oil level might be the most common.
I have an '01 Aztek and the Oil Pressure Switch (Sending unit) is bad. It's a $15-$25 part depending on where you buy it. Take it to a qualified shop and have them "scan" the computer. It should show up as a stored trouble code. Mine only did it a few random times. For those of us who've lost an oil pump, you generally "know" by the really bad knocking noises from under the hood. If it's not the switch, sorry, you need a pump!
It is a Pontiac Aztek. Light a match and get some marshmallows.
Read you owner's manual.

It depends on if you have the Driver information center or not the owners manual will let you know or most dealerships will do it for you no charge

The easiest way is to bring it to a chevy dealer, because the two were companion brands.
The dash light symbols on a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire indicate various system statuses and potential issues. Common symbols include the check engine light, which signals engine problems; the battery light, indicating charging system issues; and the oil pressure light, which warns of low oil pressure. Other symbols may relate to the brake system, ABS, or tire pressure. It's important to refer to the owner's manual for specific meanings and recommended actions for each symbol.

The tire pressure monitoring system varies on Pontiac Grand Prix depending on the year of the car as some years do not have the TPMS. To reset the TPMS light, refer to the manual for your car.
