According to my owners manual for the 95 Grand Cherokee Limited, and quoted verbatim: "Fuse panel is on the passenger side of the intrument panel. It can be located by swinging the front door to full open position and removing the fuse access door". They are referring to the passenger door. Then, Fuse #8 (Blue, 15 amps) protects the following: Overhead console, Keyless entry, Radio memory/Clock memory, Chime module, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, HEVAC (Air conditioning, Heating) and VIC (Vehicle Information Center). Fuse #19 (Blue, 15 amps) protects the following: Interior mirror, Auto headlamps, Overhead console, VIC/GDM module, Heated rear window relay coil, Illuminated entry relay and Chime module. Fuse #17 (Brown, 7.5 amps) protects the Heater and Air conditioning module. Under the hood there is a "Power Distribution Center" (fancy name for a fuse box). This should be located near the battery and is a black box with a plastic lid on it. The underside of the lid should have a label describing the function of each of the relays and fuses. Mostly these are replacements for the old inline fusable links in the electrical system. According to the manual the Air Conditioning is protected by Relay D and the Air Conditioner compressor is protected by Fuse #13 (15 amp, mini blue) There is no notation about a specific fuse or relay in the Power Distribution Center that protects the Vehicle Information Center. You may get further information or more details from one of the aftermarket manuals such as provided by Chilton or Haynes, and there are some excellent online diagnostic and repair resources located on the internet, usually by subscription. One excellent site is www.alldatadiy.com. Hope this helps.
