The temperature door actuator controls the opening to the heater core. The heater core door regulates the desired temperature in the passenger cabin.
There is a temp blend door controlled by the temp control switch. The temp blend door is run by an actuator. If this actuator needs replacement it requires removal of the dash assembly (big job).
The temp blend door actuator is probably at fault.
Sounds like the temp blend door actuator is at fault. The plastic gears within the actuator may be stripped. Replacement calls for removal of dash assembly.
The temp blend door actuator has failed.
The temp blend door actuator is broken.
The temp blend door actuator would be found behind the dash assembly mounted to the HVAC box. Unfortunately the dash needs to be removed to gain access to the actuator.
It's a temp blend door and actuator, and it is located behind the dash assembly, connected to the HVAC box. The dash assembly needs to come out to access the blend door actuator.
Driver side temp blend door actuator has failed.
Probably won't be fixable, it is electronic. Replacement is necessary. Dash assembly must be removed to gain access to the temp blend actuator.
likely thermostat is stuck. The temp blend door actuator has failed.
Assuming you are looking for the temp blend door actuator, remove the center console and you will see the actuator under the dash. It should be white in color.
Could be, Low on coolant, Plugged heater core, Faulty temp blend door actuator,
