If your 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis is running hot, it could be due to several issues. Common causes include a faulty thermostat that isn't opening, a failing water pump that isn't circulating coolant effectively, or a clogged radiator that restricts coolant flow. Additionally, low coolant levels or a leak in the cooling system could lead to overheating. It's advisable to check these components and consult a mechanic if the problem persists.
