40 on idle up to 60 while on the move.
All the other gauges work! I have changed the oil several times and it has right oil, and is right amount.
Could be a bad oil sending unit - try a mechanical gauge to get an accurate reading
1. verify that the oil pressure is actually dropping using a calibrated oil pressure gauge. 2. most likely scenario, the oil pressure is not really dropping, the oil pressure sending unit on your vehicle is bad...common Chevy v8 problem
how to install the oil pressure gauge on a Chevy 350 small block
Probably around 40 psi Check with manual gauge - electrical gauge is just anguide and not gospel
1999 Chevy table oil pressure gauge low and check gauges flickering
When a gauge manifold is opened to the atmosphere, the reading should indicate a pressure of zero psi (or gauge pressure), assuming the gauge is calibrated correctly. This is because the gauge measures the pressure relative to atmospheric pressure, and when exposed to the atmosphere, there should be no differential pressure. If the reading does not indicate zero, it may suggest a malfunction or calibration issue with the gauge.
The oil pressure gauge will fluctuate on a Chevy Tahoe when the vehicle is idling and when the vehicle is driven at highway speed. Idle is usually 30 psi oil pressure or slightly more. At highway speed, the oil pressure should be between 60 psi and 80 psi.
When the ignition is first turned on you should hear the pump start up. If you do then the pump is getting power. There is a port on the fuel rail where you can put a gauge to see if the pump is putting out pressure.
who should i see about a recall on 2005 chevy trailblazer for faulty fuel gauge and not working speed gauge who can i call about this for a recall was bought used
recharge gauge shows pressure of 70 psi
Assuming this is a 4.3L engine, cycle the key off and on several times until the pressure peaks. The fuel pressure gauge should read 60 to 66 psi if all is well.
