Normal operating temperature should be approx. 210 degrees F.

Normal range is 195 to 215 deg f
I am an ASE certified technician. Your normal engine or coolant temp should be 190 - 210.
The oil pressure for a 1997 Jeep Wrangler with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine typically ranges between 25 to 65 psi when the engine is running at normal operating temperature. At idle, the oil pressure should remain above 10 psi. If the oil pressure falls significantly below these levels, it may indicate a problem with the oil pump, oil level, or engine wear. Always refer to the vehicle’s service manual for specific guidelines and troubleshooting.
what engine do you have ? the 4.0L and the 2.5 do not use a timing belt. They use a timing chain. Under normal circumstances the chain should last the life of the engine.
The "Coolant Sensor", for the ECU, is right next to the water neck at the front of the engine. the "Coolant sender", for the temperature guage, should be on the back of the head at the rear of the engine!
Should work provided it is the same engine set up.
the cooling fan comes on at 230 and normal engine temperature is usually around 218 depending on the outside temp.
Generally speaking, it should not get any hotter than the normal operating temperature of your engine coolant.
You should not tow more than 2,000 pounds in a 1988 Jeep Wrangler. This is considering the engine is a 4.2 liter engine.
