It isn't possible. You'll need to have the transmission rebuilt.
The engine and transmission of a manual 3 cylinder weighs 135lbs.
Yes it is. Any Metro transmission made after the year 1994 will fit in your 98 Metro.
On engine casing, passenger's side, on flange that bolts to transmission. Probably covered with engine gunk.
No, a 91 metro transmission will not fit in a 98. A 91 will fit any metro between 1988 - 1996 though. After 1996 a lot of Metro's became 4 Cylinder which made them different from the previous generation metros. It may fit if the engine sizes are correct (1.0 litre 3 cylinder to the same but do not mix and match).
TH125 three speed.
yes... on the 1.3 ltr engine methinks.. worked on a H reg bout 15 yrs ago..
yes, if it's a 3 cylinder Mr Geo Metro yes, if it's a 3 cylinder Mr Geo Metro
Sell '91 Metro manual. Purchase '91 Metro automatic. You'll be less than $500 out of pocket which is a lot less than a serviceable automatic will cost.
where can you find an engine diagram of a geo metro 3 cylinder 1.0L engine
To add transmission fluid to a 1998 Chevy Metro LSI with an automatic transmission, locate the transmission dipstick tube, which is typically found near the back of the engine compartment. Remove the dipstick and use a funnel to add the appropriate type of transmission fluid through the tube. Make sure to check the fluid level with the dipstick after adding to ensure it is at the correct level. Always consult the owner's manual for the specific type of fluid recommended.
Hey Jeremiah==It is possible but VERY expensive. GoodluckJoe I have not done this but one time I replaced a motor in a 1992 GEO metro 5speed with another metro motor from an automatic I had to remove the torq converter and flywheel and put the flywheel and clutch on it from the oringinal one I had on it and it worked. hope this might help a little.
