Check water pump they go out around 100,000 miles will start to make noise sometimes first

a bad brake caliper or pad.
If it is making noise, this was thought to be a problem with this particular car. The placement of the fuel pump makes noise that can be heard in the passenger compartment. If you don't hear the fuel pump, then you've got problems.
A warped rotor makes a scraping noise. The rotor will no longer sit flush with the wheel and what ever it rubs against will create a loud metal scraping noise.
The brand of fuel you are using may cause it. I had started using UNOCAL super for awhile in my Buick Regal/86 and it went away. It had started when the blend in my preferred fuel was modified for the season change. Go up a grade of fuel or change station brands for awhile. /Alex
