A 1999 Lincoln Town Car has a 4.6L V8. Ever since (I believe) 1991 they have had this engine.
I'd like to know how to do a tuneup on a 1997 Lincoln Towncar. I'm especially interested in how to replace the spark plugs. I was once told one would need to raise the entire engine to replace them. Is that true?
those particular wires and plugs are located in the engine compartment under the hood of that Lincoln the spark plugs are located on both sides of the engine block about half way down the wires are connected to the spark plugs and then run all the way to the coil/distributer whatever that particular model has good luck
( 6 spark plugs ) for your V6 engine in a 2003 Lincoln LS
what engine?
two spark plugs are located to the right side of the engine and the other two spark plugs are located on the left side of the engine.
They are sometimes called freeze plugs but in reality they are casting plugs. They are located on the side of the engine block.
According to the 2005 Lincoln LS Owner Guide : The spark plugs for the 3.0 litre V6 engine are gapped at : ( .051 to .057 inch ) * confirm with the Vehicle Emissions Control Information ( VECI ) decal located in the front of the engine compartment
The 1994 Lincoln Town Car 4.6 liter engine coolant drain plugs can be found on each side of the engine block. There will be a total of four engine coolant drain plugs.

Check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information ( VECI ) decal located in the front of your engine compartment ( it will show what type of spark plugs to use and the spark plug gap )
The plugs are located under the plate on top of the engine. You will need to remove the 4 bolts holding the plate. The plugs are located right under. There are no wires on these plugs.
