Unless you have a LEAK you shouldn't have to add automatic transmission fluid on a regular basis

Transmission fluid is usually added through the dipstick tube.
There is a fluid check/fill plug located on the front of the transmission. Add fluid there until it is level with the bottom of the hole.?æ
On the 2002 Mitsubishis Lancer , you add the transmission fluid down the dipstick tube. There is a specific fluid for manual transmissions , that information is in the manual under Fluid Capacities.

You add fluid at the same place you check the fluid level. Takes a special funnel. If there is no place to check the level, then it is a sealed for life transmission.
At the transmission. Look on the right side of the engine down low on the transmission and you will see the dipstick.
Remove the transmission dipstick and add the fluid in the dipstick channel.
From the research I've heard the only place to add fluid is into the dipstick tube using a long skinny funnel that will fit inside.
