On the passenger side there is a port on the receiver/dryer. The receiver/dryer is located next to the pluming box under the hood.
1st buy the kit that will flush your unit out. then check to make sure that your system has no leaks. then add 134a
add coolant to f250 system thru the overflow bottle this is a plastic bottle under the hood make sure not to add to window washer bottle
Could be you are low of R-134a. You can check the PSI level on the lowside with a gauge and if you are you can add R-134a. Any automotive store and some discount stores will have R-134a and gauges. Also you can check out the videos on the link below with show how to add R-134a to you car, and where to find the lowside port.
134a refrigerant
what year? look for the bigger port on the ac lines, theres a low and a high, you want the low which is where you put you r-134a
it takes 64oz or 4lbs of 134a make sure you add oil to it if u have drained it needs 11oz
never if the system stays like brand new-but we all know that wont happen- add when comp starts to kick on and off & it dont cool as good as before --I have a 89 gm pickup with 650k miles that cools good & it has never been worked on
You will add the R-134a thru your low side port. You will need a gauge to check the PSI level when filling. (You do not need the Manifold gauge set). There are a lot of all in one products you can purchase that have the R-134a and oil included in them. Some will even come with a reusable gauge.
You can add air conditioning refrigerant to your 2000 F1 50 pickup truck air conditioning system through the low pressure port. The low pressure port will be on the top of the air conditioning compressor.
NO! You NEVER mix refrigerants.
You NEED to use a set of guages.
Find the a/c dryer and it is the low side of the a/c unit, that is where you fill the 134a Answered by Littlestown Lube & Brake Littlestown, PA 717-359-5022
