On the output shaft on your supercharger there will be a Hex head screw at the bass of the output shaft and the S/C body. WARNING*** extremely tight. Take caution when removing to avoid striping and carefully not to over tighten when put back.
put a socket on the tensioner pulley and pull on it until there is slack then just slip it off.
GM dealers sell the oil. Get a new plug also in case you ruin the old one getting it out. You can also get an oil change kit on eBay for about 45.00.
Yes you can, but you will need some things Here is a list GTP Supercharger w/ bolts and pulley GTP Throttle body GTP Fuel Injectors GTP Lower Intake Manifold GTP Cylinder Heads w/ valve covers Passenger motor mount GTP Harmonic Ballencer GTP supercharger belt tensioner and idler pulleys GTP MAP sensor GTP Vacuum lines Head Gasket set Head Bolt Set Lower Intake Manifold Gasket GTP Valve Cover Gaskets Supercharger gasket and coolent O Rings Throttle Body Gasket MAP/BBV harness adaptors PCM Tune In my opinion, you would be WAY better off just buying an L67 engine. I have seen those on craigslist from $200 to $500. Ya it will be a little bit more frustrating, but so will putting and replacing parts from a gtp onto your gt. But good luck though :)
The question is about my Buick Regal GS 2000 Supercharger oil Information
It takes 2 bottles of the GM supercharger oil (or Ford supercharger oil, they are the same product). Do not try to substitute anything else for it either. It is a specialized oil built for the iron bearings that are used in these superchargers.
The oil fill plug is located at the base of the nose piece of the supercharger, near the pulley facing toward the front of the car. It is usually a flush mounted plug with a hex wrench hole in it. Be sure to use a sealer or teflon tape on the threads when you put it back in. Incidentally, a little oil leakage around the front of the supercharger is considered normal by GM.
No.
drop the gas tank. they did not put in access hole until 2000
This whinning noise is completely normal. This sound is produced by the supercharger when it is producing boost. I have a 2003 gtp and it does the same as well as any other supercharged engine. Suggestion from 00gtp Put a K&N cold air intake on and everyone will hear the whine. Sounds cool and it really makes people look.
4.5 quarts
5 quarts.
A supercharged 1998 Buick Regal GS typically requires about 8 ounces of supercharger oil. It's important to check the oil level regularly and maintain it to ensure optimal performance of the supercharger. Always refer to the owner’s manual for specific recommendations and guidelines.
