The heater valve actuator for a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant is typically located within the engine compartment, near the firewall, where the heater core is situated. It is often mounted on or near the heater control valve, which regulates the flow of coolant to the heater core. For easier access, you may need to remove certain components or covers in the engine bay. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific details and diagrams.

The heater temp blend door and actuator are located behind the dash assembly on top of the HVAC box. Unfortunately the dash assembly needs to be removed to gain access to it.

There is no water valve.
The temperature actuator motor controls the flow of air through the heater core. The motor is located under the driver's side dash, above the transmission tunnel. It's a little difficult to get to, but not bad. Check heatertreater.net for pictures and what to check for on the actuator motor.
A Dodge Durango does not have a water control valve in the heater plumbing. The cabin temperature is controlled with airflow control doors.
To find and replace the climate control actuator on a 2003 GMC Envoy, first, locate the actuator, which is usually situated behind the dashboard near the heater core. Remove the necessary panels and screws to access the actuator. Disconnect the electrical connector and unbolt the actuator from its mount. Replace it with a new actuator, reassemble the components, and ensure everything is securely fastened before testing the climate control system.
O'Reilly's, auto zone etc. Try Part number 74612. This is a Murray Heater Valve. Good Luck
It's a much better idea to replace it. You can try the radiator flush, but no guarantee.
