Okay, the fuel pump cut-off switch, also known as the inertia switch is located on the driver's side..... behind the kick panel. which is down by your feet - by the peddles, but closer to the brake. Remove the kick panel carefullyas there are plastic clips holding it on and can break easily; once the kick panel is removed...you will see the cut-off switch..it's a red button.

To turn the fuel pump off:

  • The red cut-off switch button has a small slot opening that's located directly under the button on one side. You have to stick a thin flat head screw driver or pin, etc, into the slot opening until the red button pops up to the un-engaged position. Once the button has popped up, the fuel pump will be turned off.

To turn the fuel pump back on:

  • just push the button down to the engaged position. After pushing the red button to turn the pump back on, turn the key to the accessory position for like 3-5 secs, this action wil allow your fuel pump to turn on.

**( if your pump is working properly you should be able to faintly hear the fuel pump "winding" / "running" when you turn the key to the accessory position for a few secs.)**

  • Once those 3-5 secs pass by then turn the key back to the off position; then try to starting the car again. if your pump is good everything else is okay you should be able to start car!
