On your 1989 Ford Ranger :
The vacuum modulator valve is on the passenger side of the A4LD automatic
transmission ( it might be behind a heat shield )
The modulator valve on a 2007 automatic 4.2 liter transmission goes on the underside of the transmission. You will need to jack up the vehicle in order to reach the valve.
Chevy didn't make a S-10 in 1978.
Towing capacity (lbs.): 5320
No , the 3.0 liter " Vulcan " V6 engine in a 2003 Ford Ranger has a timing CHAIN
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I read once that the modulator valve for the automatic transmission has a vacuum line connected from the valve to the engine and that transmission fluid can be sucked into the engine if something goes wrong with the valve
The speed sensor on a 99 Ranger 2.5 liter 2WD with an automatic transmission is in the rear differential. It is included with the ABS sensor in one unit.
A 1994 Dodge Ram does not have a modulator.
vacuum modulators are used on automatic transmissions to control line pressure relating to the way a shift feels when a transmission changes gears. Later models went to a fully electronic valvebody with line pressure controlled by the vehicles computer. If your question concerns a1996 Ford Ranger with an automatic transmission and a 4.0 liter V6 engine then the answer is--- you can't because this vehicle doesn't use a modulator for the transmission. If your asking about the modulator because the trans is shifting hard then you probably need to have the computer scanned to check for diagnostic trouble codes which would cause a condition called ''failsafe''. Line pressure is raised to protect the trans and to alert you to the fact that something is wrong. 4R44E-4R55E
Perhaps when the engine and the transmition were "conected" something did not align properly. Did it work when you first did it or it never worked.
For a 1992 Ford Ranger , 2.3 liter four cylinder : The 5 speed manual transmission takes ( 2.8 U.S. quarts of MERCON automatic transmission fluid )
No there is not.
