On a ( 2000 , 2001 , 2002 ) Lincoln LS :
The engine cooling fan fluid reservoir is in the engine compartment , it is on
the passenger side of the engine compartment . Fill it to the MAX line with MERCON
automatic Transmission Fluid
same as brake fluid resevoir
I was looking at the 2001 Lincoln LS owners manual and it shows that Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid is used in the engine cooling fan fluid reservoir
In the 1992 Lexus ES300 there is only one cooling fan. The cooling fan is operated hydraulically by fluid from the power steering reservoir. If there is a leak in the fluid pipe the fan can stop working and the car will over heat in traffic, otherwise it is fine. In any case the fan MUST always run when the A/C is switched on. Check for leaks in the rubber hose leading to the cooling fan from the hydraulic fluid reservoir.
According to the 2000 Lincoln LS Owner Guide : ( Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid is used in the engine cooling fan fluid reservoir )
it should be behind the back seat ...
Top off the brake fluid resorvoir.
It is an engine cooling fan that cools the fluid as it passes through the radiator.
Blockage in the cooling system No or little fluid in the cooling system Radiator fan not working
On the right-side of the dashboard. Same resorvoir for brakes doubles for clutch.
check fan relay in fuse box under hood.
I was looking at the 2002 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it shows ( Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid ) is used in the engine cooling fan fluid reservoir
there is a relay box to the bottom right by the wind shield washer fluid
