The door hold open rod on a Buick Park Avenue can be replaced by unbolting one side of the rod while slipping the other out of the frame. It can then be lifted out and replaced with a new unit.
In the 1995 Firebird, the power lock door relay is located in the door panel. Some times a fuse can blow or a wire can short, which would end up in needing a new fuse or a new relay.
Remove the door panel.
