Standing in front of your car with the hood up, look to the right side of the engine down between the coolant hose and the engine lifting hook and you will see a little bump down about 6 inches with black and yellow wires attached. That should be it.. be sure the engine is cool before unscrewing it and use Teflon tape when you replace it to seal the threads.

The 1989 Chevrolet 350 cubic inch engine coolant sensor is located on the front of the engine. The coolant sensor will be near the thermostat housing.

The coolant temp sensor is located directly under the EGR valve, just in back of the upper radiator hose connection on the engine. The sensor has 2 wires and uses a 14mm socket to replace
Start by replacing the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
The 1995 Chevy Silverado coolant sensor is located on the front of the engine. The coolant sensor will be a few inches above the thermostat housing.
P0117 will set if the engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT) reads over 248F when the engine has been running for 10 seconds. replace your coolant temp sensor. the sensor is located in the drivers side of the cylinder head, just below the valve cover line, under the coolant hose.
The engine coolant temperature sensor and coolant temperature gauge sender are located on the passenger's side of the engine, under the intake manifold.
probably just replace the coolant sensor
