Cavalier 1985-93 Top of Glove Compartment
on the side of the engine block, on 1994 and later models, there are 2, one on each side on the side of the engine block
On the Ford Probe 93-97 GT's the knock sensor is located underneath the intake manifold. More specifically it is threaded into a fitting on the deck of the engine block in between the heads in the Valley. Shouldn't be too bad if your an experienced mechanic or a mechanically inclined individual. Hope this helps ya out, and good luck.
As far as I know it doesn't have a knock sensor , my 1995 doesn't have one according to the engine wiring schematic in my Haynes book ( I believe in 1996 with the EEC- V system , the 4.0 L - OHV has a knock sensor )
the elictronic control sinsor at on a 93 mercury villager
the knock sensor is a 1.5" round disk with a single wire connected to it. It is located on the bottom driver's side of the engine. Unscrew it from the block and be prepared with a large open-top drain pan to catch all the antifreeze from the block. Use teflon pipe tape on the new sensor to seal the threads.
it is located in side the maf actually they use the same sensor housing.
