On your Ford Explorer :
Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine
Sensor 1 would be close to the engine before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter
( you don't say which engine you have but on the 4.0 liter EFI it might even be in the outlet of the exhaust manifold )
Where are the Bank 1 Sensor 1 oxygen sensor on a 1998 ford explorer?
where is fuel rail pressure sensor on 2000 ford explorer 4.0 located?
It has ( one oxygen sensor ) on the 1991 and 1992 Ford Explorers
M14x1.5
A 2000 Ford Focus oxygen sensor diagram can be obtained from most Ford dealerships. The diagram can also be found in most Ford repair manuals.
On a 1995 Ford Explorer : There are ( 2 ) oxygen sensors ( I believe there is one sensor in the outlet of each exhaust manifold )
YES - it has a camshaft position sensor
Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine in your Ford Explorer Sensor 2 is after the catalytic converter ( downstream )
The oxygen sensor(s) before the catalytic converter(s) is used to determine the air / fuel ratio of the engine
To replace the oxygen sensor disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connector. Use an oxygen sensor socket to remove the sensor. spray the sensor with penetration oil if it is difficult to loosen. install in reverse.
It would help to know the sensor that needs resetting.
