The sensor on the 1994 Chevy Caprice is located on the transmission. it is mounted on the tail shaft of the transmission.
It's located in the rear of the transmission.

On a 1999 Harley Heritage Classic, the speedometer sensor is located on the transmission. Specifically, it is mounted on the left side of the transmission housing, where it detects the rotation of the speedometer drive gear. The speedometer sensor is located on the top of the transmission. It is held on by one bolt. Remove the bolt and gently pull and turn the speedometer sensor and the whole assembly will come out of your transmission. is that on a manual or auto tranny? or is it in the same place for both?
