The fuel gauge on a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue may not work properly due to several potential issues, including a faulty fuel sending unit, which measures the fuel level in the tank and sends that information to the gauge. Additionally, wiring problems, such as damaged or corroded connections, can disrupt the signal. A malfunctioning gauge itself or issues with the vehicle's electrical system could also be contributing factors. Regular diagnostic checks can help identify and resolve the specific cause of the malfunction.
It's attached to the fuel pump sending unit, inside the fuel tank.
Likely a bad ground in the relay
Most likely either a bad float in the fuel tank or defective gauge
Air bubbles remaining in the system
The gauge on the far right side of the gauge cluster is your engine temperature gauge. The normal operating temperature is at the half-way mark. If the needle raises above the 3/4 mark then the car is overheating. A light will come on also if it begins to overheat.
mine stays just a quarter inch below midway all the time at normal temp
Below the middle mark. if you have not removed the battery and the needles poped past the stops. this willmove the temp gauge and place it at a higher reading. replace dash to correct this.
You need to add water to the radiator, it may be low and you will overheat your motor.
The Freon is added through the low side ac port. A pressure gauge is used to show when the system is full. Follow the Freon can directions closely.
Oil pressure test.
Low Coolant? Weak Temerature sensor? Weak gauge Gauge working properly and recording the thermostat opening and closing as engine temperature fluctuates
Yup, it has one!
