My friend bought a 1991 Trofeo with a dead guage cluster. After some Google research he just changed out a capacitor on his gauge cluster (IPC) and it made it work again. The odometer then showed "Error" so he changed the BCM (Body Control Module) and it then read 149356 which could be the mileage of the replacement BCM. We aren't sure what the real mileage is so I can't say if 149356 is correct but at least it is not reading error anymore. The BCM from a junkyard was $70.
Trofeo Melinda was created in 1992.
If the speedometer works but the odometer does not, the odometer has failed.
i think the regulator is right in the alt.
In the 1992 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo with the V6 3800 engine, the fuel pump relay is typically located in the engine compartment's relay center or fuse box. This box is usually found near the battery or on the driver's side fender. It's advisable to check the owner's manual for specific diagrams and locations, as they can vary slightly based on the vehicle's configuration.
There may be a broken gear inside the odometer.
They both work off of the same signal. If the speedometer works but the odometer doesn't, the odometer has failed.
A 1992 Ford Ranger typically has a 5-digit odometer. Most vehicles from that era used mechanical odometers, which usually maxed out at 99,999 miles. If the odometer rolls over, it will reset to zero after reaching that limit.
Look at the odometer, it will tell you what mileage it has.
Yes. Newport, Arkansas was hit by an F0 tornado in 1992 and an F1 tornado in 1999.
The 1992 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo typically requires about 12 quarts of transmission fluid for a complete fluid change, including the torque converter. However, if you are only changing the fluid in the transmission pan, it may take around 5 to 6 quarts. Always refer to the owner’s manual for the most accurate specifications.
You can not for it is illegal to tamper with this and it is tamper proof. If you are trying to show less miles, unscrew the speed odometer cable from the transmission and drive.
If your speedometer is functioning but both the odometer and trip odometer are not, the issue may likely be related to the speed sensor or the internal gears of the odometer. In many vehicles, including your 1992 Dodge Dynasty, the speedometer is driven by a cable or electronic signal, while the odometer relies on a mechanical connection or electronic signal from the same source. A worn-out gear in the odometer mechanism or a fault in the instrument cluster could also be the culprit. It's advisable to check the vehicle's manual for specific troubleshooting steps or consult a mechanic for a thorough diagnosis.
