Your truck uses a vaccum servo that pulls in the front differential when you shift the lever. On mine when this happened, I foumd that one of the vaccum hoses simply was pulled off. Follow the lines to make sure they are connected.
Sounds like your Blower motor resister, it controls the voltage to your blower motor, controlling the speeds, if you always have it on high, med ect. that speed is more likly to burn out first

how to change upper tie rod on 96 chevy blazer
I have personally seen and looked under the hood of a 1994 Chevrolet S10 Blazer (original 1st gen boxy body-style) that came from the factory with R12. It had been converted to R134a at some point, but it had all of the original labels under the hood that said "R12", "Charge R12", and R12 refrigerant under high pressure", etc. This particular 1994 S10 Blazer that I saw was manufactured in October 1993. Any S10 Blazer manufactured before October 1993 more than likely has R12. I also looked a 1994 Chevy K3500 with the turbo diesel engine that had R134a from the factory. This particular truck was manufactured in December 1993. This would indicate that GM started using R134a in its trucks in November or December 1993.
Find the low pressure ac port in the blazer. Connect the freon and a gauge to the port. Start the engine and run the ac on high. Fill the system till the gauge shows full.
Was the battery or power recently disconnected if so the ignitation key has to be cycled 25 times before it will engage into 4wd high. Turn key on and off 25 times should go right in (as per GM Service manual)
it may if you jack it up high enough!
