If you have spark at all but one plug, the problem is with that plug, wire, cap or rotor.
WHEN INSTALING THE DISTRIBUTOR THE ROTARY BUTTON HAS TO BE POINTING AT THE NUMBER 1 CYLINDER AT TDC
On the Ford 200 cubic inch straight 6 cylinder engine , the distributor rotor turns CLOCKWISE
Yes.
Sounds like the bearings or bushings in your distributor are worn. With the cap off, check for any wobble or play on the shaft. If so replace the distributor.
bad distributor cap would be first choice, next would be the rotor button in distributor.then the coil
you got the firing order wrong
Answerthe 3.0 has a distributor that fires clockwise with out a photo its not easy to explain but I'll try my bestlooking at the engine with the distributor at the rear on the left side from front to back the cylinder numbers are 123 and on the right 456place the engine at top dead center to align your distributor button with cylinder #1from #1 going clockwise the leads are as follows 1,4,2,5,3,6hope this helpsdraw this out on paper it makes it easier to follow
Start with a bad Spark Wire Followd by a new Distributor Cap and Rotor button. Pening that failure, replace the sparks.
At this point I would do a compression check. If you find a cylinder 15% or more lower than the rest you probaby have a valve problem in that cylinder.
When installing a distributor in a motor, the rotor button should point to the terminal of the ignition wire for the number one cylinder at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke. This ensures that the ignition timing is correct when the distributor fires. It's essential to confirm that the engine is at TDC on the compression stroke, not the exhaust stroke, for accurate timing. Proper alignment ensures optimal engine performance.
do you mean what direction the rotor button in the distributor spins, if so it spins clockwise.
It disregards the mass of the object (say for example, a graduated cylinder or beaker) already on the balance.
