Hi I bought the Haynes guide for the car to investigate similar problems. By the sounds of your description, either the fan motors don't work (which you can check by turning on the A/C - the compressor should cause the fans to click on). Or - the wiring between the fans and the fuse panel is an open circuit. I'd say check the connections (there's a few plugs used to make assembly easier between the fans and the fuse box...along the top of the fan assembly) and also on the left hand side of the fan assembly (looking at it from the front), there is an end to the wiring, which I was told could also be faulty. good luck Jeremy

How do you test a block heater on a g6?

Easiest is to plug in the block heater cord with the hood open. Follow the cord to where the block heater is located and you should hear a gurgling sound similar to an electric kettle. If you don't check your power source. If you can reach the block heater unplug the cord from it and check the power at the end that plugs into the heater with a 2 prong tester to make sure it's not the cord causing the problem.

How do you check the block heater on a 2009 escape?

To check the block heater on a 2009 Ford Escape, first inspect the power cord for any visible damage or fraying. Then, plug the heater into a power source and listen for a faint clicking sound, which indicates it is functioning. You can also feel the engine block near the heater after a few hours to see if it's warm, confirming that the heater is working. If the engine block does not warm up, it may be necessary to replace the block heater.

Why My water heater won't come on?

Check that there isn't water around the water heater first, which would mean that turning it off and closing the water valve would be a good idea. Then, check the fuse box to see if the power has tripped--that is if it is an electric water heater.

What is wrong if the heater and fan do not work on a Volvo850 1999?

First check your fuse if it is good then disconect the plug at the fan motor and check if it has power going to the fan, make sure the key is on and the heater is turned on. If you have power at the conector than you have a bad blower motor, if the fuse is good and you dont have any power to the motor then you have a break in the wire.

If there is power to the off switch for the heater is the switch gone?

If you are talking about a wall switch for the heater, check to see if the heater has its own internal thermostat or switch as this might be in the off position and not allow the heater to turn on. If you are talking about a switch on the heater itself, then yes in all probability the switch is not working.
