351 M yes 351 W No,
you may need to change the output shaft because the 460 had a couple of options...
No. You need a transmission for a 351 (5.8L) windsor, 302 (5.0L) or 300 (4.9L)6 cylinder. The 460 Trans will fit a 460, 429, 400, or 351 M or Modified. The 351M is a big block. Your 351 HO is a 351 W or Windsor. It's a small block.answernot all ho were windsor but you may have to change bell housing then it will fit
No a 351/400 is the same as the 429/460 Big block style, the 351W is the small block motor style like the 289, 302, 351C, 300 I-6. If the bell housing unbolts from the housing find the small bolt patter to match the tranny.
351 W IS 5" ACROSS THE TOP BOLTS,, THE c6 ON THE 460 IS 8" NO.
Yes. The transmission from a small block must be at 351 Windsor , And C6 transmission if the transmission is a c4 . It will not work
no 351 windsor engine is small block. 460 is a big block
Depends.if the bell ( where it covers the flywheel behind the motor) is a bog block.or small block bell housing. Like a small bell housing will bolt to a 302 and big bell.housing will bolt to.a 460
302, 351, 400, 429, and the 460 not sure if they were all offered in 70, but those were a bunch around that year
yes,it will also fit a 351m and 429
Manual tranny........... NP 435
Yes you should be able to because the 351 the 400 and the 460 are basically the same motor just different block sizes, but they are all power houses in my opinion
NO, Not even close.
None Unless you change the Transmission too. 7.3 Diesel Bellhousing looks similar to a 351 and 460 Gas motors but there is a difference.
