Any American politician who knows what's good for him will at least pretend to be a God-fearing person, always on his knees to pray for Divine guidance. Mentioning God regularly is part of any US politician's standard vocabulary and it doesn't say much about the true level of his religiousness. Obama is known for being a religious person. Donald Trump by his own admission is a Christmas / Easter / marriage ceremony churchgoer who will go to Church on other occasions 'when he has the opportunity'. Nothing wrong with that; Republican icon and President Ronald Reagan wasn't much of a churchgoer either. But counting the number of the mention of "God" by politicians is a fairly useless exercise.
God has no place in a secular democracy other than in individual religious practices and using God in making policy is against the separation of church and state.
Yes, a former judge could run for president. I am not sure that a judge would even have to resign before running, but maybe so. I can not think of a judge who has been considered as a presidential candidate or that the question has come up.
The President can appoint the judge and the Senate must vote to see if teh Judge is removed from office or not.
because he was ugly
The president's power to nominate federal judges is a check on the judicial branch by the executive branch.

You did not mention the crime in the discussion area. Normally to get a conviction you need evidence and a prosecutor to present it to the judge or jury. Evidence consists of facts.
I think you mean "who was the most depressed president?" If you do, and this is a matter of my opinion, I would say William Howard Taft. His real dream was to be a Supreme Court Judge, not a president. He is overshadowed by what the huge impact that his predecessor (Theodore Roosevelt) made for this country. Not to mention that he was very overweight.
