∙ 13y agoThere were several principles outlined in the Declaration of Independence. They were that all men are created equal, that all men are born with certain rights. Men have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Men have the right to choose how they're governed, and by whom.

∙ 9y agoThe three basic principles the Declaration of Independence was based upon where that all men were created equal, that everyone has accountability for their life and property, and that government should be a society's choice. In addition, there were many other ideas in play when the document was drafted, but these were the main ideas.
