Lincoln's Reconstruction Plan consisted of three main parts: the Ten Percent Plan, which allowed Southern states to rejoin the Union if 10% of their voters pledged loyalty to the Union; the establishment of a process for creating new state governments that would abolish slavery; and the provision for the rapid reintegration of Southern states to foster healing and restore the Union. Lincoln aimed to promote leniency and reconciliation instead of punishment to ensure a smoother transition post-Civil War.
The three major plans for Reconstruction after the American Civil War were Presidential Reconstruction, led by Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson, which sought a lenient approach to reintegrate the Southern states; Congressional Reconstruction, which involved more stringent measures and the Civil Rights Act, aiming to protect the rights of newly freed slaves; and the Radical Reconstruction plan, pushed by the Radical Republicans, which enforced military rule in the South and required states to ratify the 14th Amendment before rejoining the Union. Each plan reflected differing views on how to rebuild the nation and integrate formerly enslaved people into society.

Johnson, after Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, proposed to carry out Lincoln's ideas for Reconstruction. Congress proposed the 13th Amendment which called for the abolition of slavery in all parts of the country. Later, Congress organized the Freedmen's Bureau which helped Blacks find jobs, protected their rights, and established hospitals and schools for them throughout the South. Due to the formation of the Black Codes and the Ku Klux Klan, Congress was convinced that Johnson's plan for Reconstruction had failed and Congress took control. President Johnson opposed Congressional Reconstruction saying it was unfair to the South. Congress responded by passing the Reconstruction Acts, which listed requirements for a state's readmission into the Union. After Johnson vetoed the Reconstruction Acts, Congress repassed them when 2/3 of the Senate and 2/3 of the House approved the acts.

The Congressional plan of Reconstruction of 1867, also known as the Reconstruction Act of 1867, divided the South into military districts, required Southern states to ratify the 14th Amendment, and establish new state governments with black male suffrage. It also sought to protect the civil rights of freed slaves and ensure their participation in government.

Andrew Johnson wanted to give black's the right to own property, but the catch was, they were not able to leave the land past 10 o'clock at night. The free slaves had an opportunity to go to college, but it was a black's only college. This was different from the plan of having equal rights of full citizenship and the right to vote and to be on congress. !!The author of the one above or below is me.
