Tadeusz Kosciuszko was a Polish patriot and military leader, now regarded as a hero in Poland, Belarus, Lithuania and the US. He arrived in North America during the War of Independence, and set about assisting with the fortification of key cities.
Kosciuszko first built Fort Billingsport on the Delaware River in Paulsboro, New Jersey. A year later, he was directing the building of more forts along the Canadian border. He was also posted to try and rebuild Fort Ticonderoga near the southern end of Lake Champlain in the state of New York. Unfortunately, his recommendations for a battery above the fort, on Sugar Loaf Mountain, were ignored, and the fort was lost when the british moved in to attack from the mountain.

Fort Necessity
Fort Ticonderoga
Fort Necessity was built by George Washington. He saw the French and their fort, Fort Duquesne. George Washington was forced to surrender.
The cannons from Fort Ticonderoga in upstate New York, captured in May 1775, were carried overland to Dorchester Heights overlooking Boston, from which they could have shelled the city. A storm caused a British counterattack to be canceled, and the British forces in Boston (who had earlier planned to leave anyway) evacuated by ship on March 17, 1776.
He planned a fort at Yorktown.

No, Tadeusz Kościuszko did not create the Kosciuszko Club. The Kosciuszko Club was established in the United States in the late 19th century to honor his legacy and promote Polish culture and heritage.
