It supposedly signed on July 4, 1776, but most historians have concluded that it was signed nearly a month after its adoption, on August 2, 1776, and not on July 4 as is commonly believed. inquiry. 56 signed. They were highly successful people. Most had money and they did not belong to any minority group. They did not protest because of the lack of food or jobs. They believed in the freedom of man and were not token patriots.
