Delegates don't make speeches they listen to them. The party decides who gets to speak.
Two of the key issues during the Constitutional Convention were slavery and how the president would be elected. One was decided and one was tabled.
No one reads blank books because there is nothing to read. Jefferson was a avid reader and gave over 6,000 books to start the Library of Congress.

= (During the Constitutional Convention) The great compromise was a mixture of the Virginia plan which gave states with more population more rep. and the New Jersey plan which gave each state equal votes. Impromptu speeches are given with little to no preparation, while extemporaneous speeches are delivered with some degree of preparation and research. In impromptu speeches, speakers rely more on their ability to think on their feet, whereas in extemporaneous speeches, speakers have more time to organize their thoughts and structure their arguments.

I don't know who answered 153, but that's not even close to a ballpark estimate. Hitler was a proliferous speaker, it was his weapon of choice. Throughout his political career, he averaged between 1-7 public speeches a month, and more than twice that during the war. I have in front of me an abridged volume of speeches (Volume 2 of 4, covering 1922-1939) and in this volume there are excerpts and press quotes from 355 different speeches. It's possible there are only 153 recorded on film or published in their entirety in print. Not all his speeches are recorded or published. As a proffessional student of the Holocaust, I have studied Hitler in depth; an honest estimate of "number of speeches" would be around 600-1000.
Sir Winston S. Churchill,by saving the Britain and the empire he stood against the nazi's when the world was at the brink of destruction. In this effort he made many majestical and dazzling speeches to encourage the british people and he gave his speeches power with his unshakale voice. Never was a man more matched to a moment.
