That really depends on which creation epic you are referring to. There are many.

In the Babylonian story, Marduk defeated Tiamat and created the world using her carcass.

Judaism and Christianity have a different story. According to the standard Christian Bible, this is how the present order of the universe came into being.

Our world and the heavens we can see were created in three days of the original six days of creation.

On the first day, light was created and day and night came into being.

On the second day, our skies were created.

After the third day's creation of seas, land, and vegetation, came the fourth day's creation of the sun, stars, and moon, to help us mark time.

Sea creatures and birds were created on the fifth day and on the six day, land animals and man were created. At the end of the sixth day is the comment that this was how the heavens and earth were created.

Do Hellenistic and orphic religions have the same concept as Zeus being the creator God?

@ Hades sorry agian Okay This is quite skecthy, allow me to explain. First of the greek word for God is "Deus" or "Theon" They were Comologiclie ignorant of the universes structure. God is an old english word for "Good" (better) and "high". Higher power. Thats what deus means in greek. The Mythologicle Writers created These "higher powers" to represent earthlly elements. Zeus is dirrived from deus. The greeks, Not Mythologiclelly but philoshpiclley (sorry for my spelling) Refreded to a being known as "the one". They were theisticlly agnostic literally speaking. They named him deus (higher power) witch over time changed to "Zeus" as the "One". Folklore and Legend created the God Zeus. Zeus is Greek for All father,All powerfull one and supreme God as said above. He as a mythologicle charicter Was The "Ultimate God" personifieng they Heaven and ruling The Cosmos. As he developt threw folklore and 1,000s of years of stories he evolved Into a Human like charicter. Many Epics and stories On how he devolped to become the "Ultimate Supereme God". Actully there are 5 Earths and races in allmost every mytholgie 5 Navjo worlds, 5 Aztec earths, 5 Human races in greek mytholgy. Wanna know the spooky part theres been 5 major extinctions in the earths history. How ever Aside from that on a nother branch of the hellenistic meta series of myths this still happens exept for eating phanes and recreating the universes. The reason for that is Zeuses universal/omniverseral Ultimate devolpment to become henothesticlly supreme. Late orphic cosmology and Mythology are Henothestic. This was to form allogoricle concepts to Deus/Zeus/The Ones creation of the universe in human understanding for creation Zeus ate the phanes and created the universe we live in. So its like a human understanding for a Monothestic/Henothestic concept of the universes creation. So Zeus Yes is the ultimate creator God of this universe. Greece has the longest creation epic ever spaning from the Primal Gods all the way to when Zeus and phanes fought. And By the way Chronos Has no powers Time is a driving force that controlls the Cosmos and all creation in The universe. He can not and dose not interact with the 3 dimentanal creation He dos not fight he dose not do any thing Time will Fic,Create,Destroy and do anything. If time Gos on forever Any thing happens So techecally its Omnipresent and near Omnipotent since anything can happen. Phanes did not created Chronos it was the other way around Chronos Forged a Cosmic Egg witch Protogoneus (i think thats his name) Was born. It means first born also known as phanes. Also Hellenistic Mythology is a meta series so the storie branch off and can be diffrent so you may have herd another version Since Techneclly speaking theres no right or wrong answer. And also about Chronos creating the Cosmic egg and not the universe he did. Not to confuse you with what i said above he never interacts after this. This "Cosmic egg" is refred to as "Chaos" Basiclly Chaos or Khaos in litarrell Greek spelling Was a Cosmic inflation of every element in history Gaia (Geae)-The earth Tartarus-underworld ECT. Combine How ever Khaos was also a Goddess she was goddess of fate and many other things as i will explain. She is the first goddess with all other Beings in her she was the first Non Trans-dementanal God/Goddess. So she was the cosmic inflation of every possible element. Then She kind off exploaded like a "Big bang" Then out came the Protogini or Primal Gods Choas is the primal Void the Air or Infinte cosmic viod like the Blackness in the universe then the earth and under world and light dark ect. So She was the universe and the other Primal Gods were components of the universe as she created, separted or gave birth to them. (you get the point) The first to emerge was phanes the most powerfull he was not a leader but his job was God of creation and cosmic order he was the gardion of reality. He had immense Cosmic power. he did not interact unless he needs to create order in the universe. When Uranus was born he was rivlend with his power he Ruled while phanes was the gardion. Uranus was the first "Sky-Father" In Greek mythology god of the sky was the most powerfull and highest rank in the mythology. Who ever held it had immense power and athortie over the rest of the pantheon first held by Uranus then Cronos and now Zeus. After many Cosmic wars (Titanomacy,Giganteomacy,Battle with Typhon) and many others all caused Chaos (not the Goddess) but disorder in the universe witch zeus later lock in a box. The titanomacy nearlly destroyed the universe so he rebuilt but the hate and abstract evils were still there the Gigantomacy and many other battles caused more and more cosmic disorder. As i Said above Zeus has had many many adventures in his life and lots of power and charicter devolpment. He had many magic powers and wepons (Skyfather power,Lighting ect.) witch increased his power So phanes interjected and zeus killed then ate him then destroyed and rectreaed everything (not itme since that is trans-dimental and as i said kind of doese not exist) And created His universe gaining yet another power So he is the Ultimate God the source of all creation and created our universe we are in. So Yes you are correct Late Greece became "Henothestic" and Zeus was the creator god in some branches of the Mythos

What is 'Pulsating theory' and 'Steady state theory'?

Pulsating Theory According to this theory, the universe is supposed to be expanding and contracting alternately i.e. pulsating. At present, the universe is expanding. According to pulsating theory, it is possible that at a certain time, the expansion of the universe may be stopped by the gravitational pull and the may contract again. After it has been contracted to a certain size, explosion again occurs and the universe will start expanding. The alternate expansion and contraction of the universe give rise to pulsating universe.
