When the Romans conquered Greece, not only did they discover that the Greeks had much to offer (traditions, art, architecture, knowledge, literature, etc.), but the Romans eventually adopted and built upon many of the Greek traditions.
In terms of religion, the Romans pretty much complete adopted the Greek gods and religious views. All the Greek gods have a Roman name as well, Zeus to Jupiter, Poseidon to Neptune, Aphrodite to Venus, etc. It wasn't until the decline of the Roman Empire around 300 CE that the Roman state religion took a major shift. More specifically in 313 CE, Constantine I legalized Christianity in his Edict of Milan, and in 380 CE, Theodosius proclaims Catholicism as the official religion of Rome.
The Romans basically took the Greek gods, "cleaned them up" (the Greek gods were not the most model of deities) and gave them new names.
Several civilizations had an influence on Roman religion. The largest is probably ancient Greece. Many of the Roman gods have Greek equivalents (ex. Zeus=Jupiter). Another important early influence came from the Etruscans (from the area north of Rome). The third would probably be Egypt. There are also civilizations that influenced Greek religion, which in turn influenced Roman, like Summerian, but that makes the list longer.
well both of them had lots of gods
Many Roman gods were direct copies of Greek gods simply renamed; as in Zeus becoming Jupiter, Hades becoming Pluto, etc.
the different religion is like greek gods and roman gods see they didn't believe in just 1 god they believed in many
Actually, "Hades" IS the Greek name for the place where dead people went according to the ancient greek religion, but Pluto is hades' roman name
The Greeks had the greatest influence of Roman religion. In their early days the Romans adopted five Greek deities. They also adopted Greek myths and linked their gods to the Greek ones. The Etruscans and the Sabines also had an important influence on Roman religion

Roman religion was basically Latin religion and some of its rites predated the foundation of the city. Early Roman religion was also influenced by Sabine religion and Etruscan religion. As the religion evolved, there was an increasing influence from Greek religion and myths.
The empire did not contribute much to Roman religion. This religion was well established before Roman imperial expansion, including the Greek influence on it. This influence came right from the early days of Rome, centuries before she conquered mainland Greece. It came from the Greek colonies (settlements) the Greeks established in southern Italy and Sicily in the 8th century BC and early 7th century BC.
The three ancient civilisations that most profoundly influenced modern Western culture would probably be Rome, which gave us its empire; Greece, which gave us its philosophy and ideals; and Judea, which gave us Christianity.
Herakles was originally Greek, however Roman religion adopted him and adjusted to make him fit into there religion.
He spread Greek culture such as the Greek language and religion.
The Roman Empire, in its earlier years, had a religion derived from what we now refer to as Greek mythology (formerly it was the Greek religion) as well as the worship of the Emperor, since some Roman emperors proclaimed themselves to be gods. Later, the Roman Empire adopted Christianity as its official religion.
The civilization that had the greatest influence on Roman religion was the ancient Greeks. Many Roman gods and goddesses were inspired by Greek deities, and the Romans adopted and adapted much of Greek mythology and religious practices into their own belief system. The Roman pantheon reflected this influence with many similarities between Greek and Roman gods.
Greek and Roman
Romans religion was not monotheistic. Like the religions of most ancient peoples, it was polytheistic. Early Roman religion was a variant of Latin religion with a degree of influence by the nearby Sabines and Etruscans and the Greeks of southern Italy.
Ancient Helenism. Wiccans also worship Greek/Roman gods too.
