Mesopotamia had two seasons, summer and winter. Winter was our fall & winder, and summer was our summer & spring. Later on they started some sort of system based on 6 months.
The first group of people to inhabit Mesopotamia were the Sumerians, who settled in the southern part of the region around 4500 BCE. They developed one of the world’s first complex societies, characterized by advanced agriculture, urbanization, and the creation of city-states such as Ur and Uruk. The Sumerians are also credited with inventing cuneiform writing, which laid the groundwork for future civilizations in Mesopotamia. Other groups, such as the Akkadians, Babylonians, and Assyrians, later emerged in the region, building upon the Sumerian foundations.
The Flute was developed before written language, so we do not have an exact record. The earliest known flute was found in Slovenia and dates to 41,000 BC. A later flute was discovered in Germany, which dates to only a few thousand years later.
Terah is a figure in the Hebrew Bible, specifically mentioned in the Book of Genesis. He is described as the father of Abram (later Abraham) and is said to have come from Ur of the Chaldeans, an ancient city located in southern Mesopotamia, in present-day Iraq. Terah's family is noted for their idolatry, which sets the stage for Abraham's later rejection of such practices.

Mesopotamia had a flood every year. This has brought irrigation to crops. Infact, it is the only vapor that gives irrigation because it barely or doesn't even rain in Mesopotamia! In the modern day, Mesopotamia is called Iraq. Sumerians had invented the first language, Cuneiform. [CU - NEE - A - FORM] They wrote on wet clay using long reeds. They used pictograms (Pictures that are an act EG: Long squiggles are stream of water) They used wedges to write down numbers. Sumerians have also invented the plow, so you can farm more easier. In the modern day, people have made improved plow. One of the most common inventions, Sumerians have invented the wheel and axle. It may sound as simple as a toothpick, but it has helped the Mesopotamians a lot. The most accurate calendar is the Sumerian Calendar. Yes, Sumerians had invented that, too. Mesopotamia is surrounded by two rivers called Tigris and Euphrates. In Fact, the word "Mesopotamia" is "Land between two rivers" in Greece! Mesopotamia has many information that I cannot finish to tell you. I will continue to write more facts during in the next days. [More information will be written down sooner or later..]
Mesopotamia is a region that is currently in the nation of Iraq. Since it was very influential at an early period of human history, it relates to pretty much everything that followed.
