Cleopatra was in fact a Macedonian Greek who was fair skinned and either a brunette or blonde. She had no Egyptian, Carthaginian, or any other type African blood in her body. She was the last of 12 Pharoahs of the Ptolemaic Dynasty who were put into power by Alexander the great, (a Macedonian Greek) when he conquered the Middle East. The Ptolemy's interbred so there was no possible way of her have been anything other than Greek. Cleopatra followed this line of interbreeding between family members by marrying two of her brothers before the whole Caesar and Marc Antony mess. This information can be found on many numerous credited history sites online as well as in actual history books. Most people associate the Cleopatra they have seen on TV and in Movies as the actual historical figure where they portray her as being dark skinned or Egyptian.
