Clement of Rome, writing around 95 CE(1 Clement) seems to have believed Paul went to Spain, probably in the early sixties of the first century, and spent the remainder of his life there. However, a Christian tradition of the second century is that Paul was executed by Emperor Nero in 64 CE.
