They Came across the sea in their long canoes over 2000 years ago. They are the Mikmaq
If you take the time and look closely you will see.....:) These are my people! The Micmacs probably came across the Atlantic around 2000 BC. They had previously received an Egyptian migration in Maine around 2500 BC; the Egyptians gave them hieroglyphics, which they still have! The Micmacs probably set out to find their ancient home Egypt, and found Scotland instead. They mixed with the many peoples they found there, including ancient Capoids ("brownies"), Basque-like Ambrones from the Netherlands, Etruscan-like Attecotti from Thrace, Liguro-Lappic Fomori from Norway (Iuchurbe), who fought the Tuatha De Danaan in Ireland, and the remnants of the ancient Goidelic Celts of Britain (the Gogmagogi) who were driven north by the invading Cimbric Celts (Brythonics) when the latter invaded Britain from Bohemia. It's mind-boggling how many people the Picts really were! Now they are the Scots. When Columbus visited Ireland shortly before his voyages to America, he saw two Micmacs, a man and a woman, who had washed up on the Irish coast in a canoe; they were close to death. Columbus asked the man with sign language where he had come from; the man pointed to the West and died. Some say that this experience is what prompted Columbus to undertake his historic voyages.

The Picts and Scots lived in different regions of what is now Scotland during the early Middle Ages, roughly from the 5th to the 10th centuries. The Picts inhabited northern and eastern Scotland, while the Scots originally came from Ireland and settled in western Scotland. The two groups eventually merged to form the Kingdom of Alba.

The first people to live in Scotland were likely Celtic tribes. However, Scotland has a long history of occupation by various peoples, including Picts, Romans, and Vikings. As for showing a map, I recommend checking a reliable online map source such as Google Maps or the National Library of Scotland website for an up-to-date map of Scotland.
