Andacoas, also known as the Brazilian porcupine, primarily inhabit the forests of South America, particularly in Brazil, Paraguay, and parts of Argentina. They prefer dense, tropical rainforests and are often found in areas with abundant vegetation. These nocturnal rodents are arboreal, spending much of their time in trees, where they forage for fruits, leaves, and other plant materials.
