If your Dodge Ram 1500 is experiencing high idle in reverse, it could be due to several factors, such as a vacuum leak, a malfunctioning throttle position sensor (TPS), or issues with the idle air control valve (IAC). Additionally, problems with the transmission or engine management system could contribute to this behavior. It's advisable to use a diagnostic scanner to check for any error codes and perform a thorough inspection to identify the underlying issue. If you're not comfortable troubleshooting it yourself, consulting a professional mechanic would be a good choice.
Answernot enuff info in question does it do this when a/c is being used a/c cycles on and off to maintain temp setting engine will idle up to run a/c the down again whe a/c cycles offno you start it and it stays at high idle
a/c kicks on
is the a/c on when this happens if so it could be the fast idle sensor
Sounds to me like this might be due to your A/C cycling on and off if you have it set to defrost. It does this to dry out the air that it routes to the windshield so that it can more effectively de-fog the glass. When the A/C engages, it puts load on the engine, and thus the RPM must increase to keep it at idle.
do you have a/c switched on when this is happening a/c makes engine idle up and down as it cycles on and off

The use of the reverse string in C program is used to reverse the letters in the string. An example would be reverse me would be reversed to em esrever.
Fast idle motor is not working. This is allowing the idle to fall below the threshold of what it should be when the A/C is on.
Could be the idle is set too high, maybe the mixture screw passageways are plugged up.
Celsius is a degree measure. 1500°C = 2732°F
It's over charged, check the gauge if the air temp is about 80 degrees engine at idle 63 to 64 psi. 90 degrees out 70 psi with the A/C on max cool fan at high raise the rpms to about 1500 and the compressor should stay running and not go below 40 to 45 psi if the compressor starts to cycle on and off the low pressure switch is bad.
The engine is running C O C K
